Climate Change and Water Final Report Available

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, December 5, 2007 -- Over 200 individuals from across the state attended one-day regional forums held throughout New Mexico during September to learn about the potential effects of climate change on state water resources and identify practical solutions.

Participants learned what the research indicates for New Mexico, including potential impacts on the business community, farmers and ranchers, water users in general (be they residential, commercial or industrial), as well as our rivers, forests, and species. Participants also had the opportunity to talk about how these issues might affect their regions and to suggest possible action steps for addressing them.
